We had a wonderful group tour on the right bank with the knowledgeable and entertaining Alex, visiting some amazing wineries. Aside from the delicious wine, the winery lunch and the visit to the village of Saint-Émilion were highlights.

This was such a fun day in Bordeaux! We’ve done plenty of wine tours before but this was our favourite one. There is only a maximum of eight people on the tour so you’re not in a big crowd. And you get to visit both the left-bank and right-bank of Bordeaux, and contrast the multiple styles of winemaking. This tour would suit anyone even if you know nothing about wine, but it’s also great if you know your stuff and want to learn more about the various appellations in the region. Our guide Alex was GREAT - and also a professional sommelier who has even worked at Paris’s famous Le Tour d’Argent restaurant. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the Bordeaux region :)

Booked this tour based on the reviews from TripAdvisor , which can be risky and we're so glad we did because it was an amazing day. Jonathan was a fun and informative tour guide and made the full day of wine tasting and touring the area worth our time and money. We didn't think we were huge French wine fans but we found out we are, we even had some sent back home and are still enjoying our wine back home in California. I typically don't take the time to write reviews but since we were so pleased with the guidance all the reviews gave us I'm paying back. Book this tour if you're in Bordeaux, we loved it.

We were treated to a most enjoyable and informative wine tour. We visited 3 vineyards. The tours were conducted indoors and we had ample opportunity to ask questions and taste lots of wines. The gourmet picnic was also indoors, which pleased us because of the weather. The picnic was excellent, consisting of charcuterie, cheeses, salad and bread, with choice of fruit salad or a chocolate dessert to complete the meal.

Loved everything from start to finish. Annabelle was a great guide, she was just lovely. Special mention to Maxime and Virginie our wine connaisseurs. The first chateau (chateau carbonnieux) shows you the whole process of wine making, the wine there tasted amazing. The 2nd stop taught us a lot about wine (colour and smell) and made us taste this incredible wine inside chocolate. Maxime at the Chateau Palais Cardinal was fun and interesting. We had a little picnic lunch there which was very cute. Then we went to visit the medieval village of Saint Emilion which was just majestic. Finally we went to Le Chatelet where we tasted wine solely made for the michelin restaurants and of course was one of the nicest I ever tasted. Highly recommend!

Loved the whole experience. Our guide Annabelle was very knowledgeable , not just about wines but about the regions too. It was good to be with a small group of 8. We stopped at 3 Chateaux throughout the day plus had a picnic lunch and a short tour of St. Emilion. We did alot during the day but it didn't seem rushed at all. It's great to learn more about the wines of the region in a fun and enjoyable way. I would definitely recommend this trip to others.

Our trip with Bordeaux Wine Tails was absolutely spectacular. Jonathan is the best guide, offering local insight and a thorough knowledge of all things wine. He is a sommelier to boot, so he was truly amazing and could answer any question. It also was just a stiff tour that was run of the mill, he made it very lively and entertaining, and spoke to us by name throughout the day. He offered insights and recommendations for multiple things to do in the area and even recommended other parts of the country to visit for different wine preferences. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take a small guided tour of Bordeaux.
